I don't know all that much about the White Sox or their system, but I know a lot of bad teams run into a much better month in September with lots of players on the team playing for future MLB jobs. Any realistic chance of that here?
I wouldn’t bet on that. There is also talk of them shutting down Garrett Crochet to preserve trade value, and I could see them instituting a similar load management on other players to prevent injury when there is really nothing left to play for. Then again, maybe the guys they bring up from the minors would be better than what they’ve got on the field now (honestly it can’t get much worse).

Oof. What a miserable season for Sox fans. On the plus side, this makes my Brewers look sterling in comparison, so there's that.
